Buddhist New Year greetings from Nuptul Tenpei Nyima (Abbot of the monastery Nubri/Serang)

5th of march 2022

– Dear members and supporters of Human Care & Education, despite that we had sent good wishes to each other at the beginning of 2021, I believe that most of us have gone through various challenges and faced unexpected obstacles in the past year, particularly in the middle of this ongoing pandemic.

Our wishes remain just nice utterances as a cultural custom but nothing more.  So today, I am inviting you to transform your wishes into prayers. Take a moment. Look deep into your heart. What do you sincerely aspire for, feel enthusiastic about and long for fervently?  When you have found such wishes, bring yourself to pray for them intensely. You may gracefully invite supreme beings such as Buddhas and Bodhisattvas as witnesses while you pray. Their presence can bring blessings and make our aspirations and wishes more substantial and meaningful. In this way, you can form a wish that is transformative and impactful.

Besides transforming your wishes into prayers, I also urge you to summon firm and lasting courage to face whatever undesirable situations that may occur in the coming year. Be strong, be smart and be kind to others as well as yourself. Your kindness will be your best source of comfort that accompanies you wherever you go. May Buddhas and Bodhisattvas bless you and guide your everyday action.

Honestly, I am so blessed and fortunate to have such loving and caring spiritual Gurus, family, friends, and students in my life. I pray that all of you have the best of health, wealth, and happiness. May this new year be full of joy, laughters, and celebration.

Nuptul Tenpei Nyima
